Job summary

BARNWELL COUNTY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Bus Driver for the 2024-2025 pool. The position may be full-time or part-time depending on location (Blackville or Williston) and district needs.

CDL is required, with training available to obtain it, and a focus on safe, efficient transport of students in South Carolina. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass a physical and drug test, as well as the skills to read maps, communicate effectively, and uphold

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; physical including drug test.
• CDL required or able to obtain CDL before driving.
• Ability to read and interpret maps.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students and staff.
• Knowledge of safety and district policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from designated schools.
• Obey laws and School Board policies.
• Pass annual physical and drug test.
• Maintain orderly behavior on bus.
• Cross highway safely at bus stops.
• Attend training and pass drug/alcohol tests.
• Follow routes and observe transportation rules.
