First Student, Inc. in Elyria, OH is hiring Part-Time School Bus Drivers. The role offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities for field trips and events, with training provided and a flexible AM/PM schedule.

New and experienced drivers are welcomed; you will start mornings with student pickups and return them home in the afternoon, with a minimum 5.5 hours paid daily. Safety, training, and a supportive team are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL-B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements and Air Brakes.
• At least 21 years old and a valid driver's license for 3+ years.
• DOT drug testing applies to safety-sensitive positions.
• Part-time schedule with flexible AM/PM routes; no nights or summers.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding/unloading and assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues and keep bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey traffic laws and company safety standards; communicate with parents and staff.
