First Student in Mound City, MO is hiring a part-time School Bus Driver to start mornings, transport students to and from school, and take on field trips as needed. Training is provided to ensure safety and professionalism, with a DOT safety-sensitive requirement.

The role offers a sign-on bonus and a range of benefits; you will work weekdays with split AM/PM routes and guaranteed minimum hours at 20 per week.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with split AM/PM routes; weekdays only; no nights, weekends, holidays, or summers.
• Training provided to become a safe First Student driver.
• Subject to DOT drug testing (safety-sensitive role).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
