Job summary

First Student in Parkville, MO is hiring School Bus Charter Drivers. No experience is required as comprehensive training is provided. The role offers part-time, flexible shifts (AM/PM routes) with no nights, weekends, holidays, or summers required, and opportunities for advancement across 540 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Drivers will transport students, supervise boarding, and ensure safety with seatbelts and mobility aids. DOT drug testing applies to safety-sensitive positions.

Qualifications

• No experience is necessary; expert training provided.
• Part-time, flexible schedule: AM/PM routes, weekdays only; no nights, weekends, holidays, or summers required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or student behavior.
