Job summary

Diagnostic Assessment Services Inc. seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a part-time, school-based role in the Arlington, TX area. The OTA will support students’ academic achievement and participation through direct and consultative therapy aligned with IEP goals, coordinating with families and school staff.

Qualifications include an OTA degree and Texas license; one year of OTA experience in a school setting is preferred. Travel and documentation duties are involved.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited college.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing by Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• One-year experience as an OTA preferred or required in school setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide interventions in collaboration with the OT, student, family, and school staff.
• Provide individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate in ARD for assessment, placement, and goal setting.
• Counsel and involve parents; coordinate with teachers for remediation.
• Maintain and file all required reports and records.
