Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training completed; levels 1 and 2 of training offered.
• Ability to operate cash registers, calculators, or scanners.
• Basic math skills for making change and refunds.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers.
• Consult with customers to understand needs and preferences related to merchandise.
• Demonstrate and explain merchandise; propose options for the customer.
• Quote prices, terms, and prepare sales orders.
• Retrieve merchandise from floor, place special orders when needed.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by entering data into a database.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate when appropriate.
• Investigate and resolve product/service problems.
• Operate the cash register with UPC scanner and product keywords.
• Process payments and handle returns/exchanges per policy.
• Assist with stocking, front-facing products, and housekeeping.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
