Job summary

Planned Parenthood Northern California in Eureka, CA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Eureka Health Centers. The RN will provide direct patient-centered care in a surgical abortion clinic under clinical supervision of the Nurse Manager, following PPFA and PPNorCal guidelines and all relevant regulations.

The role requires Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, and offers a comprehensive benefits package including employer-paid medical insurance for full-time employees, 403(b) with up to 4%

Qualifications

• Successful completion of accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current California RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certificates.
• Knowledge of family planning and abortion procedures desired.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Medical Standards and Guidelines while providing patient-centered care.
• Document in electronic health records accurately.
• Educate patients on contraception, STI signs, and abortion options.
• Assist abortion providers during surgical procedures and recovery.
• Monitor vitals and manage recovery room care.
• Discharge patients per provider orders.
