Job summary

Opelousas General Health System is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care across infant through geriatric patients. Under direction, you will use the nursing process, document patient data, and maintain a safe environment while collaborating with physicians and nurses to develop individualized care plans.

Required: Associate degree in Nursing and RN licensure; CPR and basic life support; one year of RN experience preferred. ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active RN license required; CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• One year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process as the basis for nursing care.
• Provides direct patient care.
• Documents and maintains patient records.
• Maintains a safe environment.
• Administers IV medications and parenteral nutrition.
• Administers blood products and evaluates patient response.
• Collaborates with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans.
