Job summary

You will handle transactions, maintain a clean store, and follow all cash-handling procedures while supporting a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating the POS system, restocking shelves, and keeping the register area organized.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, write and understand English sufficiently for customer interactions.
• Basic computer skills including POS and payroll software.
• Ability to give change accurately.

Responsibilities

• Present a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Accurately manage cash drawer, open/close, balance; follow money handling procedures.
• Operate the POS system efficiently and learn within 3 months.
• Maintain a clean work area at the register and store; restock as needed.
• Greet customers, assist with inquiries and maintain friendly demeanor.
• Follow Salvation Army policies on merchandise sales.
• Keep floor stocked and help meet daily production goals.
• Be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
