Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Independence, MO is seeking friendly, dependable individuals for a part-time Retail Sales Associate role at about $15.00 per hour. The position offers roughly 25 hours per week, with evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

You’ll greet customers, operate the register, restock, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment to support our mission-driven work.

Qualifications

• Retail or cashier experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide outstanding customer service.
• Operate the cash register and accurately process sales transactions.
• Assist with opening, closing, and balancing the register as assigned.
• Restock merchandise and maintain organized, attractive displays.
• Sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily sales and production goals as part of a team.
• Assist donors and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
