Job summary

Hendrick Motorsports Location: 4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262 Hendrick Motorsports is currently seeking a part-time retail specialist to join our team. POSITION SUMMARY Assist customers with merchandise-related questions and process sales. Responsible for appearance of store and merchandise in stock. Manage sales calls and customer inquiries. This position is part-time, working 25-29 hours per week. Essential Functions:

• Ability to effectively communicate with guests
• Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs
• Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires
• Compute sales prices, total purchases and receive and process cash or credit payment
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise
• Prepare sales slips or sales contracts
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
• Demonstrate use or operation of merchandise
• Prepare merchandise for purchase
• Inventory stock
• Keep retail area clean for customers
• Ticket, arrange and display merchandise to promote sales
• Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returns
• Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.
