Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe store environment in Chesterfield, VA.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and prior customer service in retail or related fields. You will handle merchandise, unload trucks, and maintain professional, friendly interactions with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and climbing.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
