Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience at our Paterson, NJ location.

You will assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean, stocked, and safe while maintaining a friendly, professional atmosphere with colleagues and leaders. This part-time role offers benefits appropriate for a retail store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentable areas.
