Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Ashburn is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers, process transactions at the register, and keep the store tidy and well-stocked.

You will also help unload merchandise, ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment, and follow store procedures to meet productivity standards. A high school diploma is preferred and prior retail or service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
