Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Great Neck, NY is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the register, stock shelves, receive merchandise, and help unload trucks.

You will maintain clean, safe store conditions, interact professionally with customers and team members, and perform duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and endure frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash control.
• Other duties as assigned.
