Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Michigan LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

Duties include assisting customers, managing sales transactions at the cash register, stocking merchandise, unloading trucks, and keeping the store clean and presentable.

The role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs; part-time positions are available at 18845 Beech Daly Rd., Redford, Michigan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
