Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Colorado LLC is seeking a part-time retail associate to assist customers, process transactions, and maintain a clean, organized store environment in Las Animas, CO. You will help unload shipments, manage stock, and ensure friendly interactions with customers and team members.

The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and efficiency. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; the position requires physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Operate sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness in the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
