Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join the Appalachia, VA store and help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and a flexible, team-oriented attitude. This is a part-time position with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash, neat areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
