Job summary

Chedraui USA is seeking a Part-time Retail Associate for the Carmichael location. You will help stock, price, and display items, assist customers, and keep the store clean and organized.

The role requires strong communication, basic PC skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Prior retail experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth within the Smart & Final banner.

Qualifications

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

The Part-time Retail Associate performs management‑assigned duties, which may include but may not be limited to stocking and maintaining a store section, carry‑out services and store cleaning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment).
• Assure proper pricing on merchandise, check product date codes to validate proper rotation, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
• Set up advertising/promotional displays.
• Cleans and maintains sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot as directed by store management.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous assistance to customers by providing them with current store and product information.
• When requested, loads customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
