Job summary

The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will assess and treat residents, initiate therapies, and maintain patient records under minimal supervision.

Applicants must graduate from a COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and hold RRT or CRT licensure with BLS certification. Weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) and 4–6 hour blocks, up to 8 hours, are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required.
