Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking part-time resource teachers to join our team. This role offers opportunities to work with young children in a supportive, growth-focused environment and emphasizes no nights or weekends.

Training is provided, with pathways toward Child Development Certification and PK-12 licensure at no cost to you. You will join a collaborative faculty, receive ongoing support from leadership, and be part of a program that values recognition and professional development as you grow

Qualifications

• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and effective family relations
• Working with the classroom teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty
• Responsible for preparing lunch and snacks (2 to 3 days a week) or as needed
• Responsible for the assisting with laundry as needed
