Job summary

OhioGuidestone seeks compassionate part-time resident support staff to assist in a residential home setting across Ohio. You will build peer relationships, document case notes, answer calls, supervise residents, and help with daily living activities.

The role requires a high school diploma with 3 years mental health experience or an associate degree in Social Work or Human Services, and a valid Ohio driver’s license. Experience with EHR Evolv is preferred; a flexible schedule is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 3 years of mental health or related experience.
• Associate’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field with 1 year of mental health or related experience.
• CDCA or PRS Certification preferred.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and insurance.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Evolv preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a peer/coach relationship with residents.
• Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation per Agency standards, including client case notes.
• Professionally answers incoming calls to the house and conveys messages to staff or clients.
• Supervises clients and assists in the care and environmental services of the home.
• Acts as a team player to ensure staff coverage for the home is maintained.
• Promotes the efficient and effective use of Agency resources.
• Observes confidentiality and acts as a resource on client rights.
• Utilizes empathic listening to provide emotional support to residents.
• Provides linkage and referral services and assists in daily living activities.
• Handles crisis situations calmly and contacts authorities when needed.
• Maintains safety and professional boundaries; transports clients when needed.
• Maintains regular attendance and may assist in special events.
• Promotes positive staff/client interactions and a welcoming atmosphere.
