Job summary

The Opportunity Alliance in Portland, Maine, is seeking a Mental Health Direct Care Professional (Residential Service Technician) for Morrison Place. Part-time 20 hours/week with on-site work, offering starting pay of $20.50 per hour and training to obtain MHRT-1 certification.

You will support residents with daily living tasks, provide counseling, monitor medications, and help maintain a safe, organized milieu under supervision of the Program Director or Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred.
  • MHRT-1 certification within one year of employment and ongoing training.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills required.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work in a team environment required.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Mental Health Direct Care Professional (Residential Service Technician) – Morrison Place Program

Starting Pay: $20.50 per hour. No experience necessary; training provided to obtain MHRT‑1 certification.

This role provides direct service in a residential group care or transitional living setting. Responsibilities include supporting residents with daily living tasks, personal support, counseling, medication oversight, and maintaining a clean, organized environment while documenting activities. Supervision is provided by the Program Director or Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Driving may be required; good driving record necessary.
Schedule

Part‑time, 20hours per week. Schedule will be provided at interview.
