Job summary

Whiting Gardens Rehab Center in Ocean County, New Jersey has an immediate opening for a part-time Activity Aide to lead residents in scheduled recreational activities, including singing, dancing, arts and crafts, and painting.

You will assist in planning, promoting, and delivering recreation services, support transportation to activities, and help coordinate communication with residents via video calls, all within a warm, caring setting that values each individual's needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated skills in music, arts & crafts, movement/exercise, painting or ceramics.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds and stand for long durations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and promoting recreation based on residents' needs and interests, encouraging participation.
• Visit bed-bound residents and provide appropriate recreation services.
• Assist with monthly newsletter and recreation calendar.
• Assist with volunteer program, admission assessments, and community interaction programs.
• Ensure residents and families receive high-quality service in a caring, compassionate atmosphere.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Assist residents with FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom, and Facebook video calls.
