Job summary

The Harborview Medical Center – Spiritual Care Department is seeking a Clinical Spiritual Care Provider for per diem/on-call work with rotating shifts in Seattle. The role emphasizes compassionate, confidential patient care, and accurate documentation in the EMR after each encounter.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s Degree of Divinity (or equivalent) and have completed ACPE training with supervisor recommendations.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree of Divinity or equivalent.
• Have completed at least one unit of CPE in the ACPE Program, or equivalent. Equivalency will be determined by ACPE Supervisor(s).
• Received recommendation of ACPE supervisor.
• Written verbatim of best work submitted to Department Manager.

Responsibilities

• Be an active listener. Show that you care by being positive, supportive, discrete, respectful, friendly, easy to talk to, courteous, and welcoming.
• Complete an entry into the patient’s electronic medical record after each clinical encounter. When carrying the on-call pager, chaplains must keep an accurate record in the on-call log.
