Job summary

Hickory Trail Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for weekend coverage in DeSoto, TX. You’ll lead clinical care on the unit and support a safe, therapeutic environment for patients facing mental health challenges.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), Texas RN license (or eligibility), and prior psychiatric facility experience. Weekend availability and flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 3 years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or eligible to receive/renew.
• RN may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours. New grads welcome!

What You'll Do - Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse at Hickory Trail Hospital, you'll be an active clinical leader on the unit. This is a hands-on behavioral health role that calls for sound judgment, strong communication, and the ability to adjust when patient needs change. You'll care for patients experiencing a range of mental health challenges while helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment throughout your shift.

Qualifications
