This role involves managing student health needs, responding to emergencies, and supporting physical and mental well-being throughout the school community.
TheNursewillleadthedevelopment and ongoing management of a culturally competent, comprehensive, individualized care plan with eachindividual youth.Assess individuals/families with behavioral health and/or substance use needs and provide treatment and referral services.Provides medical case management oversight and consultation forSouth County Academyprograms.Assures compliance for agency and state/federalmedicationsupply storage and disposal procedures for assigned programs.The Nursewillalso prepare and execute student group curriculum which promotes healthy lifestyles and public health education.Provides emergency crisis interventions and assessments as needed. Provide clinical treatment for clients as needed.
