Job summary

Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, CA, is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian (24 hours/week) to provide high‑quality, patient‑centered nutrition care.

You will collaborate with physicians and Food Service to tailor meals, assess nutritional needs, and support wellness across acute and chronic conditions.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s in Nutrition or Dietetics, and a current RD/RDN credential (BLS required); ongoing CE is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from US accredited college.
• Completion of AND-approved Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program.
• 1+ year of clinical dietitian experience preferred.
• Proficient in nutrition care and patient-centered counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nutrition care.
• Prioritize daily nutrition needs and complete assessments.
• Counsel patients to explain nutrition status and goals.
• Document assessments in the EMR with clear notes.
• Collaborate with Food Service to personalize meals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings.
