Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university
• Master's degree in Dietetics or related field from an accredited college or university starting Jan 1, 2024
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in Maryland or licensure within 6 months of hire
• Must follow CMS vaccination guidelines
• Experience in facilities using quantity food production
• Ability to maintain records and complete reports in required format
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact positively with residents, interdisciplinary team, and the public
• Knowledge of dietary practices and regulations governing dietary functions in nursing facilities
• Leadership ability and willingness to guide others
• Ability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret Food Services Department programs

Responsibilities

• Directly provides nutrition services according to policies and federal/state requirements
• Has administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to carry out duties and train staff
• Plans, organizes, develops, and directs nutritional care of residents per standards and regulations
• Acts as liaison to ensure dining services is clean, safe, and sanitary
• Serves as liaison between dining department and clinical staff
• Embodies company purpose, vision, values, and DNA
