Job summary

Elior North America is seeking an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian for Meadowbrook, PA, to assess nutritional needs of patients/residents and implement interventions. The role typically schedules about 24 hours per week and involves collaboration with the healthcare team to improve nutrition status and quality of life.

Qualifications include a nutrition degree, professional licensure, and ongoing education; experience in healthcare is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of quality improvement programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition

Master's degree in Nutrition

CDR exam passed or eligible

75 hours CE every five years

Licensed or certified per state requirements

Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments and care planning

Ability to teach nutrition and dietetics
