Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian at Punxsutawney Hospital in Punxsutawney, PA. The role focuses on assessing and addressing the nutritional needs of patients and residents, identifying interventions to improve status, and enhancing quality of life in line with patient goals.

This clinical position supports Inpatient and Outpatient care. The ideal candidate will have a nutrition degree, be licensed or eligible, and be able to educate staff and patients while complying

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, per CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian to our Cura Hospitality team in Punxsutawney, PA. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals. This is a clinical position that will work with Inpatient & Outpatient care.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field

• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.

• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:
