Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian for Meadowbrook, PA. You will assess patients' nutritional needs, initiate interventions to maintain or improve nutritional status, and enhance quality of life in line with patient goals.

Typically scheduled 24 hours per week, you will collaborate with the healthcare team, follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives at Holy Redeemer Health System Meadowbrook Campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition/dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining service and nutrition.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field

Master's degree in Nutrition or related field

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team in Meadowbrook, PA. As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals. *Typically scheduled 24 hours per week.*

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $28.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
