Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to support our healthcare team near West Monroe, LA. The role involves identifying and assessing nutritional needs of patients/residents and implementing interventions to maintain nutritional status.

This position will be scheduled for 8–12 hours per week, supporting Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro and Richardson Medical Center in Rayville. Expect collaboration with the health care team and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (before 2024) required.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field required.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.
• Nice-to-haves: experience in healthcare or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to nutrition and dining services.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team near West Monroe, LA . As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *** This position will be scheduled 8 - 12 hours per week, supporting Franklin Medical Center and Richardson Medical Center. ***

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.

• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.

• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.

• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field

• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.

• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience
