Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a part-time Chemical Engineer intern to gain exposure to refinery processes and cross-disciplinary engineering. You will work with a team of professionals on specific portions of the refining process and expand your understanding of how the plant operates while developing communication skills.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree, authorized to work in the US, and available for spring, summer, and fall terms.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be majoring in Chemical Engineering.
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Spring, summer, and fall semesters available; multiple work terms preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program.
• Military experience a plus.
• MIN - $33.54 - $42.45 MAX

Responsibilities

• Gain familiarity with process equipment fundamentals and best practices.
• Work with refinery professionals on a portion of the refining process.
• Develop written and verbal presentation skills in a professional environment.
• Contribute to multiple areas of the refinery to broaden understanding of plant operations.
