Position Overview
As a Ramp Agent you will work as part of a team delivering safe and efficient aircraft services, providing the highest level of customer service, keeping passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time.
$22.00 per hour. Additional +$1.50 per hour shift differential for the AM shift (3am-7am). Shift schedule: Tues – Sun. Must be able to obtain a SIDA airport badge and pass a pre‑employment drug screen including THC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Properly and safely load and unload freight, including building up and breaking down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines.
- Hold equipment certifications and operate equipment safely.
- Obtain proper security documents for all shipments.
- Verify upon receipt from customers the shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness.
- Verify upon delivery to customers the shipment pieces and airway bill numbers.
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
- Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
- Must be able to verbally direct in English.
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
Work Environment
- Warehouse: physically strenuous, prolonged periods of standing with exposure to noise, safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, around heavy moving equipment.
- Outdoor: prolonged periods of standing with exposure to weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and noise, around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.
Physical Demands
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Speak and hear efficiently.
- Lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times.
- Climb ladders up to 15 feet in height.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.
