Memorial Hospital Belleville, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a Part-Time Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging for adults and pediatric patients. The role offers a 24-hour per week schedule with day and evening shifts (9:30am–8:00pm or 12:00pm–10:30pm) and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, and conducting radiographic exams independently, including portable and on-call imaging as assigned.

Formación

• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)).
• Registration as Radiology Technologist - Reg (IEMA – Illinois only, excl MRI).
• No prior experience required.

• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.

Position Details:

• Shift times: Day & Evening with hours between (9:30am–8:00pm) or (12:00pm–10:30pm)
• Days off: Scheduled based on department needs
• Extra Pay with rotating weekends and holidays

Requirements:

• Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)

Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Memorial Belleville recently was accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been designated as Magnet-recognized organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care.

The Diagnostic Radiology Department at Memorial Hospital provides diagnostic digital radiographic imaging for our inpatients and outpatients. The radiology department includes a variety of digital and computed radiography, fluoroscopy, and mobile radiography.

Role Purpose

The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
