Job summary

Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Diagnostic Imaging for a part-time role (24 hours/week). The successful candidate will perform radiographic procedures for diagnostic interpretation across the x-ray department, operating room, and emergency room under supervision.

Responsibilities include administering contrast, selecting proper factors and positioning, protecting patients with ALARA principles, and accurate documentation and charge entries.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience.
• Florida State DOH Licensed.
• ARRT Registered RT(R).
• BCLS through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology care based on established standards.
• Administers contrast agents when appropriate using department criteria and guidelines.
• Selects proper technical factors, positioning and equipment to optimally demonstrate patient anatomy.
• Ensures patient radiation protection by ALARA principles and pregnancy status checks.
• Completes timely computer entry duties including exam status changes and billing.
• Uses immobilization devices to prevent patient motion and ensure patient safety.

Education

Associate's Degree, ADN or other Two Year College equivalent
