Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the in-house registry on casual, variable shifts. This part-time role features rotating shifts, on-call every 12 weeks, and hourly compensation between $40 and $44.

The technologist will perform radiographs on multiple systems, prepare patients, submit histories, use PACS, and maintain high image quality while following ethical standards and hospital procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of Radiology Technology.
• ARRT certification within 3 months of graduation.
• Certified by the State of Illinois to practice and administer radiation (IEMA). New graduates must apply for temporary license valid for two years.
• CPR – Basic Life Support.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree.

Responsibilities

• Uses markers on a consistent basis.
• Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
• Demonstrates overall knowledge of exams.
• Produces high quality films on a consistent basis.
• Understands and properly uses CR, the PRID, ADC Multiloader, and QS workstation.
• Writes complete patient histories for the radiologists.
• Utilizes PACS with few errors.
• Demonstrates overall efficiency of work and time; assists with stocking rooms and supplies.
