Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Part Time Quality Operator to join our dairy manufacturing team. The role focuses on ensuring product quality from microbiological and analytical standpoints, supporting the Land O'Lakes Quality Management System, and upholding safe manufacturing practices.

The position emphasizes preparedness for weekend and overtime work as required, with a focus on teamwork and adherence to quality standards across all stages of production.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 6+ months of work experience in any industry.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others.
• Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly.
• Performs analyses, inspections, sampling, and testing of all stages of the manufacturing process, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
• Evaluates non-conforming results and initiates re-sampling, re-testing, and/or hold procedures.
• Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.
• Works with Quality Assurance Managers, Lab Supervisors and staff to foster and develop Quality programs to assist all employees; assists plant with onboarding and training of employees.
• Able to multi-task and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area.

Job description

Part Time Quality Operator

Pay: $25.82 Per hour

Shift & Working Hours: Mon, Tuesday & Thursday- Saturday; 4:30 AM to 8:30AM. Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed.

In this role, you'll be a key member of our Land O'Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, ensuring the quality of our safe wholesome finished products. You'll gain skills and experience in working with operations to ensure product integrity, from a microbiological and analytical standpoint, is protected and that our products conform to all standards within the LOL Quality Management Systems. Preferred Experience

• 1+ year of manufacturing work experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
• Required to work scheduled shift which may include weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime
