Job summary

SQA Services in Shawano, WI is seeking a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector to perform precision inspections of mechanical parts, assemblies and materials to verify conformance to drawings and standards.

The role is part-time (20–30 hours/week), with 2–3 days on-site, requiring GD&T proficiency and experience with CMMs, micrometers and other inspection tools. U.S. citizen or green card holder must comply with ITAR.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on precision mechanical parts inspection.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry standards.
Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions using hand tools.
Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
Comfortable using electronic tablets to record data.

Responsibilities

Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies for workmanship and conformance to drawings.
Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot samples if required.
Use micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and CMMs as needed.
Verify documentation packages to standards and classify defect types.
