Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring a Part-time Quality Control associate for our Winona, MN distribution center. You will audit product quality and accuracy, operate RF scanners and printers, and help move products through the warehouse while maintaining safety and sustainability standards.

This entry-level role offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals are met. Candidates should be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
• Able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs, up to 100 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Operate computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product.
• Audit various internal departments' work to ensure compliance.
• Document discrepancies and enter data.
• Report results of audits.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations.
• Participate in activities that support health, safety and sustainability objectives.
• Learn, pass, and perform EH&S trainings.
