Job summary

Wyndemere Senior Living in Wheaton, IL, is seeking a Part-time Public Safety Officer to safeguard residents, staff and campus. The role includes patrols, monitoring front desk, emergency response, and incident reporting, with shifts Saturdays and Sundays 4PM-12:30AM.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid IL driver's license with clean record, 1 year security experience preferred, and strong communication under stress. Pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid IL State Driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• (1) year experience in security or related field preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly, especially in stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Completes scheduled rounds of both the interior and exterior of every building on campus.
• Staffs reception desk to monitor visitor screening, fire systems and emergency pull cord system during overnight hours.
• Provides emergency response services to include all incidents (medical, fire, vehicle, mechanical, crime, etc.).
• Responds to non-emergencies including wellbeing checks of residents, visitors and staff.
• Completes incident reports as needed.
