Qualifications

• Appropriate minimum degree for the level of class being taught.
• Master's degree in Psychology or a related field to teach Psychology undergraduate courses.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Psychology to teach in the Counseling Masters program.
• Doctoral degree in Psychology to teach in the Clinical Psychology graduate program.
• Experience/training relevant to the content area being taught.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to urban issues.
• Licensure or certification, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain civil, inclusive and engaging learning environments.
• Deliver curriculum through high-quality course instruction.
• Articulate learning objectives and communicate expectations and course requirements.
• Provide high-quality instruction and engage students in active and creative learning.
• Create course materials (e.g., rubrics, handouts) to assess student learning.
• Use technology to enhance learning.
• Assess student learning using various evaluation methods and provide prompt feedback.
• Adhere to university standards of professionalism and be accessible for conferences.
