Job summary

Right At School in Ohio seeks a Program Manager to oversee after-school programs, ensuring safe, engaging experiences for children from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. You will coach staff, maintain attendance and safety procedures, and collaborate with area leadership to meet program goals.

The role requires the ability to manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with families, and apply child development knowledge to day-to-day activities while upholding licensing

Qualifications

  • Experience juggling multiple priorities while delivering quality service.
  • High school diploma or GED completed.
  • Experience with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development or related field.
  • Strong written, spoken, and visual communication with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and joy by guiding staff roles and responsibilities and maintaining team cohesion.
  • Support and report on safety protocols to ensure participant well-being.
  • Maintain attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures; ensure tasks are completed.
  • Keep site documents and licensing standards up to date.

Program Manager

Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students!

  • Safety & Joy: Exhibits role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members. Supports operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date. Outlines attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensures program tasks are completed effectively. Continual coaching, fostering respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion, and productivity.
  • Safety Assurance: Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants. Identify and submit proof of MMR
  • 18+ years of age
  • Proof of High School diploma/GED required

$19.00-$23.00

  • Daily Routine: Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.
Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following
  • Experience with working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders
  • High school diploma or GED completed
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field
  • Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
Ohio State Requirements
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
  • First Aid and CPR-in-person
  • Cleared tuberculosis test
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED and an Associate's degree or higher in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or related field approved by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and must be from an accredited college university or technical college
  • OR
  • Two (2) years of training verified by a transcript from an accredited college including four (4) courses in Child Development or Early Childhood
  • OR
  • Four (4) courses in Child Development or Early Childhood from an accredited college, university, or technical college
  • OR
  • A current Child Development Associate Credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition.
  • OR
  • A Pre-Kindergarten Associate Certificate issued by the State Board of Education
  • OR
  • A Montessori Pre-Primary/ Early Childhood Credential
  • OR
  • Career Pathways Level 3
  • OR
  • An Administrator Credential.
