Job summary

William & Mary is recruiting a pool of adjunct professors for Operations & Information Systems Management to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Business Analytics, Information Systems, and/or Operations. The role supports student learning under the guidance of the Area Head and Lead instructor, with emphasis on academic excellence and integrity.

Applicants should hold a master's degree or higher with related experience, and demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and technology

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD or related experience in the discipline.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to incorporate technology in education processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and align course content, activities, and assessments before the term.
• Prepare a syllabus with guidance from Area Head/Lead instructor.
• Coordinate activities with Area Head and/or lead instructor; ensure academic integrity.
• Promote inclusive excellence and uphold academic standards.
• Utilize the LMS to support student learning and accommodations.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain open communication with students.
• Grade assignments and exams promptly (e.g., 48–72 hours).
• Offer weekly office hours for student consultation.
• Submit final grades according to policy and calendars.
• Complete required training and orientation before the term start date.
