Job summary

Townsquare Media Billings (KBUL) is seeking a Part Time Producer & Digital Content Creator to support our on-air shows and digital platforms. This role requires on-site work, strong content creation skills, and collaboration across web, social, and app channels.

You will publish daily articles, publish multimedia content, and engage with audiences across multiple platforms while coordinating guests and events. A dynamic, fast-paced environment awaits.

Responsibilities

• Support live, engaging on-air shows Monday through Friday, with potential for on-air contributions.
• Prepare compelling daily show content for on-air and digital platforms.
• Publish a minimum of two original local articles daily for station website/app.
• Create and publish digital content (WordPress, videos, galleries, short-form social content).
• Write and engage with audiences across social media, app, and digital platforms.
• Screen calls and manage listener interaction during on-air segments.
• Coordinate guests, interviews, remote broadcasts, and events.
• Engage listeners through interviews, remotes, and community events.
• Represent the station at promotions and live broadcasts.
• Produce commercials and support programming needs.
• Identify trending topics using audience insights for content ideas.
• Collaborate with teams across on-air, programming, promotions, digital, and sales.

Townsquare Media Billings, KBUL is looking for Producers and Digital Content Creators to support our on-air shows and digital platforms across multiple stations and dayparts.

This part-time role is perfect for someone who is creative, organized, digitally savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping and extending content across web, social, and app platforms.

What You’ll Do:

As a Part Time Producer & Digital Content Creator, you’ll play a key role in shaping the daily sound and digital presence of KBUL. You’ll engage audiences across on-air, online, social, and in the community by:

• Support live, engaging on-air shows Monday through Friday, with potential for on-air contributions based on skill set and opportunity
• Prepare compelling daily show content that entertains, informs, and connects with the target audience
• Creating and publishing a minimum of two original local articles per day for the station website and mobile app
• Create, edit, and publish digital content across platforms, including WordPress articles, videos, galleries, and short-form social content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
• Write, schedule, and actively engage with audiences across social media, station app, and digital platforms
• Screen calls, manage listener interaction, and enhance audience engagement during on-air segments
• Coordinate guests, interviews, remote broadcasts, and station events
• Connect with listeners through interviews, live appearances, remotes, and community events
• Represent the station at promotions, live broadcasts, and special programming initiatives
• Produce commercials and support market-wide programming and content needs
• Identify trending topics and leverage audience insights to generate relevant content ideas
• Collaborate cross-functionally with on-air talent, programming, promotions, digital, and sales teams to execute integrated content initiatives and campaigns
• Assist with live events, station activations, and promotions as needed
• Champion the station brand in the community by building authentic relationships and maintaining a strong local presence

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience creating original written digital content
• Strong on-air presence with the ability to connect authentically with listeners
• Knowledge of basic FCC rules and regulations
• Solid understanding of current events and various formats
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Comfort multitasking, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate control boards, remote broadcast equipment, and related production tools
• Willingness to quickly learn and become proficient in NexGen and Adobe Audition
• Public speaking confidence and comfort interacting with listeners, clients, and partners
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize effectively
