Job summary

Cub New Brighton on Rice Creek Road is seeking a part-time Produce team member responsible for stocking shelves, keeping displays appealing, and ensuring product freshness through rotation.

You will assist customers, help cashiers with price checks, and support the department with policies and safety. This role requires attention to detail and flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience operating equipment (forklift, pallet jack, carts, box cutter, baler, etc.).
• Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• Strong customer service and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Stock aisles and build displays.
• Sort incoming produce stock loads.
• Assist cashiers with price checks and product replacement.
• Help customers locate products and answer questions.
• Answer department phone calls and refer inquiries as needed.
• Follow store and department policies and procedures.

Job description

Cub New Brighton on Rice Creek Road is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a part time produce position! Produce team members at Cub are responsible for ensuring shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing for customers. Product rotation is a critical responsibility to ensure product freshness and help minimize waste. This role requires attention to detail and strong customer service skills which will help contribute to an efficient and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs aisle stocking and display building
• Sorting of produce food stock loads
• Assist cashiers with price checks and product replacement
• Assist customers with questions about product locations and suggestions
• Answers department phone calls and responds or refers as appropriate
• Follows all store and department policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

• Equipment operation (fork lift, pallet jack, carts, box cutter, baler, etc.).
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
• Memorization, reading, writing and math.
• The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 2500 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil
