Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide wound management services for residents in long-term care facilities in West Virginia. The role requires WV NP licensure, board certification, and wound care expertise; knowledge of wound vacs and DME is preferred.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, healthcare staff, and the primary care physician to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted NP license in the state of West Virginia.
• Board Certification.
• DEA licensure (Optional).
• Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
• Clinical background of wound care; including but not limited to chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds.
• Must be comfortable diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds or Kennedy Ulcers.
• Must be comfortable staging pressure injuries according to the NPIAP.
• Must be familiar with wound care best practice and advanced wound care products; collagens, alginates, foams, silvers, etc.
• Must have experience with wound vacs and other DME, such as pressure relieving/ reducing devices.
• Strong preference to having wound certification or be open to getting certified.
• Experience working in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to work with an EMR.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
