HSHS Medical Group in Springfield, IL is seeking an RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in a General OR setting. The role emphasizes compassionate patient support, collaboration with physicians and a focus on patient education and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Wisconsin: multi-state RN license may be used as per compact rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients, friends and families.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Promote patient independence by teaching condition, medications and self-care.

Pay Range:$34.00 - $51.00 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Position Specifics: Department: General OR Core Function: Nursing Schedule: PRN; as needed. Minimum two shifts per month Facility: St. John's Hospital Location: Springfield, IL Compensation: Compensation that aligns with your experience; weekend only shift differential Education Qualifications Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
