Somerset White Limited in Jackson, Wyoming seeks a private chef for a high-quality, healthy, organic meal program for a principal and household staff. You will plan menus, shop, source ingredients, prep meals and clean up; occasional dinner party catering possible with extra pay.
3 days per week on-site, no travel; strong preference for culinary school graduate; must have clean background, driver’s license, reside within reasonable commute of Wilson, WY, and be legally eligible to work in the
Location: Jackson, WY (the principals’ residence in the Wilson area of Jackson)
Hours: 3 days per week; ideally Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays, to prep meals for the week
Salary: $500-$1,000/per week, dependent on experience
Benefits: 3-weeks equivalent PTO (9 days total)
The Family: One dog in the home, and the principals’ parents live nearby
Primary Home: Large home in the Wilson area of Jackson
The Staff: Part-time Personal Assistant, and a full-time housekeeper
Travel: No travel required; When the principal is traveling out of town, the Chef will continue preparing meals for the household staff.
The principal is seeking a private chef to prepare high-quality, healthy, and organic meals and snacks. The chef will be responsible for meal planning, shopping, sourcing ingredients, meal preparation, and clean-up.
While the primary focus is preparing meals for the principal, there may occasionally be requests to cook for other house guests, or occasionally for a dinner party. The ideal candidate will create a variety of cuisines that are portion controlled and health conscious. To note, the principal does not enjoy bananas or brussels sprouts, and sugar is not kept in the household.
The chef will cook on-site 3 days per week for the principal and the staff. Meals will typically include breakfasts, lunches (often simple) and dinners for every day, available for the principal to enjoy at his convenience plus a range of snacks and staples to be kept in the house. This is not a formal service role—there is no need for serving, other than ability to cater occasional dinner parties, for which additional compensation will be paid.
The focus is on having prepared meals and snacks readily available, as well as stocking the kitchen with preferred items. Strong preference for someone graduated from culinary school.
